Improv Comedy and Presentation Coaching

The saying goes "It's not what you say it, but how you say it. Don't take a chance,Melanie Speaking Pose work with a consultant who can help you improve both sides of the equation--what you say AND how you say it with presentation coaching that gives you out of the box ways to deliver your message, and the confident skills to sell it.

I will work with you to:

  • Profile your audience.
  • Define your goal.
  • Specifically target their needs and concerns.
  • Determine how best to position yourself and your product to meet your customer's needs.
  • Polish your natural presentation style to make you confident, poised and interesting to an audience.
  • Enhance your marketing communications so your audiences respond to your offer.
  • Design and write your PowerPoint presentation and handouts.

How does improv comedy fit in?

It's the perfect hands-on exercise for teambuilding exercises and actually demonstrating ways that people can think out of the box.

Also, it's been the #1 tool that has improved me as a speaker. I can handle ANYTHING an audience throws at me because I know how to "find the funny" and turn a comment around to keep the presentation flowing.

Everyone says that they're "just not that funny" but it NEVER fails--they get in front of a roomful of people and they're HILARIOUS!

Improv encourages people to work as a team because every scene has at least 2 people in it. If you're not listening to your stage partner--and reacting to what they're presenting you--the scene will go nowhere.

Improv also teaches people to accept whatever they're given in a scene. Saying "no" immediately stops a scene--as in real life, it can stop an important dialogue between bosses and employees, salespeople and prospects or 2 colleagues. Learning to accept another person's suggestion (no matter what it is), and then build on it, is a vital skill in today's workplace.

I can help them prepare and give them the confidence that customers WANT them there and WANT to talk to them.

Every successful presentation comes down to two things:

  • How you want the audience to react.
  • How you are going to communicate that to them.
