Job Interview Coaching
"You did a great job ; your picture on the website is nice looking and mild; but you are tough to work with; of course I appreciated. "
Colonel Seck; West Africa
Every time I meet a hiring manager and tell them what I do, they always say, "Wow, you should have coached the person I interviewed yesterday, they were terrible!"
The manager isn't saying that the person wasn't qualified for the job, but that they didn't interview well, and THAT's why they didn't get the job.
Nobody wants to be that interviewee.
It's not a dream to walk into a job interview and feel completely prepared! I can coach you through my teleseminars, one-on-one coaching or you can start by reading my booklet Successful Job Interviews REVEALED! Here's the process I'll coach you through as my client.
Here's the method that makes me DIFFERENT from other job interview and resume coaches out there.
- You'll have a very good idea of the questions that THEY'RE going to ask,
- You have some great questions in mind to ASK THEM.
- You'll learn how to handle the salary question.
- You'll know how to answer the "Tell me about yourself." question (and YES it will always be asked).
- You'll be able to talk about your experiences without rambling on for 10 minutes, and you'll learn what details employers need to understand your past work experiences.
- You'll learn how to answer the "Tell me your greatest weakness" question without admitting a fear of snakes, allergic reactions or affinity for sleeping in late. You can train for this question and I'll show you how to be honest and not lose the job.
- You'll no longer be afraid of the phrase Behavioral Interview.
- You'll get a good night's sleep the night before because you'll be confident in knowing what to expect in the interview.
- We'll discuss your past interview nightmares and I'll teach you how to avoid them in the future. (P.S. Not every bad interview is your fault--there are bad, bad interviewers out there).
- I WON'T put you through an endless list of questions which you may or may not be asked, but will work to prepare your sound bites of your best experiences.
What you REALLY need is to show the real YOU! You need to be personable and friendly. What manager is going to hire a cookie-cutter perfect person with a cardboard personality?
PLUS: Here's the method I developed that will give you examples of your experience to discuss in a job interview.
T: Teamwork: Times when you worked on or lead a team.
O: Overcoming Obstacles: Examples of challenges that you worked hard to overcome. Why were they important to you?
D: Duties of Past Positions: How your past jobs will help you excel in the one you're applying for.
A: Achievements: What goal(s) did you achieve? How are you better than the other candidates?
Y: Your Strengths and Weaknesses: These questions are going to be asked, we'll discuss how to answer them.
Getting feedback from friends and loved ones isn't enough when you need to land that perfect job. Chances are that they've heard your success and failure stories a million times and can fill in the gaps for themselves. You need an impartial, experienced coach to give you the feedback you need. You also need a way to prepare that gives you the confidence to answer ANY question.
