- Review their resume and cover letter, and compare it with the jobs that they've been applying for to show them where the gaps are, and help them customize it for specific positions.
- Work with them for an hour--either by phone or via Skype, or in person in the NYC/CT area to improve their job interview skills. I'll review their resume and do some mock interviews based on some jobs they're applying for. They'll walk away with concrete tips to improve their presentation and go into their next interview more confident and prepared.
- Take a look at their job search/networking strategy to identify some new areas and new approaches to take. If they're just starting the search, they are probably overwhelmed or don't know where to start. People who have been looking for a while may feel like they've hit a wall. This is designed to get them un-stuck.
